I just weighed her this morning. She was 11.4 pounds. I don't want her to go above 12. She seems a very long kitty to me, compared to the neighbor's cat, but she does have some extra padding. She LOVES to eat. Glad you like her!
Oh 11lbs, than the photos is deceiving she isn't chubby at all, that is a very normal weight for a cat, if you look at my photos, you 'll notice Sami whose also 11lbs. Nemo is closer to the 10. longer hair makes them appear to be chubbier.....thats good that she LOVES to eat, its heartbreaking when you read all the stories of ones who aren't wanting too......very pretty little girl♥
Opus- You have very pretty cats as well! Catalina has her winter coat at the moment so her hair is extra long and thick. She was licking her beard so much and it was getting matted, so she got a little trim and seems fine with the beard now.
Jade- Yes, she has lots of fur and big slightly lopped over plume tail when she is feeling pleased The vets tell me she's overweight because of the padding on her bones. She was I think around 9 pounds 9 point something when we got her over a year ago. But the vet was happy last time she seemed to have stopped gaining. She acts so hungry and I want her to be happy. We measure out her food each day, but she also gets one treat, a tiny bit of yogurt, which she loves, and sometimes a very tiny piece of American sliced cheese, and rarely, a little milk.
Tadt- I'm happy you like her! She is very cuddly. Her fur is angora soft and feels silky. We love to pet her!
(Please see post above.) Catalina is very interested in the refrigerator and the kitchen. She has even had to be stopped from climbing further into the refrigerator which she's started onto the bottom lip inside once in awhile. She seemed familiar with the fridge when she first was allowed upstairs which when I think I first suspected she may have had an owner before, though brought in to the Humane Society as ferral. When she hears the food hit the dish and she's out of the kitchen, she comes running. When it's about time for wet food she will rub against me and when it's out she often will stretch her body up with front paws on the side of the cupboard in anticipation meowing like crazy. When pretty much anybody goes into the kitchen, she seems to want to find out if there is any ingesting action for her in there.
