Can you believe this? When we took him to the vet today.....long story, we also decided to get his long coat cut off but didn't know they'd go this drastic? Also he looks so thin !
You didn't mean for this?? Man, they buzzed him completely! At least it's nice and warm in TX. Yes, he does look thin, poor baby. He is not well though, so some weight loss is to be expected. :(
Oh Linda! The poor little baby looks like one of those commercials for ASPCA, as long as he feels better, that's all that matters. LOL but he sure looks hungry! Hope everyone is doing great there, it's 100* here on Sunday, and poor Rusty has that Pugg coat, not much they could do about it but we hide in the ac, lol. Listening to Abba right now How are you Linda? I need to go read what journals I've missed. Oh I just read Jade's comment on the dog, sorry! I did not know he has been ill, better now I hope? Rusty has arthiritis in his left shoulder, give him Glucosamine & Condriton twice a day, lots of trips to the dog park but it shows poor little guy. Do you have Skype? real nice. When we got to the Vet's the main problem they saw was lots of fluid in his abdomen. He weighed 44.5 lbs, but only down from the 47 lbs he weighed in Feb. The Vet said Barney had almost a gallon of fluid but I can't believe there was that much. That would make his weight a lot more, although we didn't think to re-weigh him when we picked him up. He stayed at the vet's for a few hrs. He's feeling a lot better but the vet did say the fluid will build up again so we have to give him more Lasix. He's on 4 really high-powered drugs for his cardiomyopathy and Chronic Heart Failure.
I want to find some good low sodium food for Barney. I think that might help with the fluid build-up.
Oh my Linda Barney has gotten so very thin.....wasn't so obvious before the shave. He's still a beautiful boy with his gorgeous eyes and red hair:)
I think he will feel much better now with the fluid gone, makes breathing so much easier...poor baby.
