Wait till you see the next photo.   In this pic taken on July 1, the pumpkin was around 45 pounds.  Today its up to about 65 and growing like crazy.  We may have to carve it in place cause I'm not sure we will get it off the ground.

This is the one growing currently, right?  Okay, so did you plant a boy plant nearby??  Is this how it works?  Ugh, I'm now obsessing about my plant Sandy since you told me I need boy and girl plants!  I am going to investigate what I have.  LOL

Ya, thats the part thats got me worried.  If it keeps going like this, I'll have to scoop it out on the bank just to get it light enough to move.  I've got no clue how big it will go.  Its momma was 1000 lbs.  I don't have the daylight or the heat (or the tender loving patience) to get anywhere near that.   But if it goes to even 150 lbs - I'm in trouble.

Ha, well, at the current rate it is gaining weight . . .  oh boy.  This pumpkin is happy . . .  growing rapidly and . . . may have mama's DNA.  You might have to recruit some help for harvesting . . .   as in a crane.   I don't think I've ever seen a 1000 pound pumpkin.  that would be a sight.

Oh, I do hope its no where near that size!   A nice 100 to 125 would be great.  But what makes this fun is that I've got no idea of what will happen.  And half the kick I get from these pumpkins (besides carving) is just watching them grow.  I'll save you some seeds for next year if you want.

Oh, I'd love that!  It's like Johnny Appleseed . . .  with pumpkins.  Your pumpking growing is my kind of hobby!
