About 1500 lbs.Not quite a 1/2 day fishing. We still sell by price per lb. Not kilos. Tradition I guess. I was feeding this sea gull, urchin roe, all day. He came for a 10 mile ride with us. They love uni. I don't have photo with the scuppers under the water.
I think we were getting about $.70 / lb. One day we put 7,200 lbs on her.Stacked right up to the back of the wheel house. My back deck was awash. My insurance Co. would of $hit. Way overloaded, but a calm day. 5,000 is a good safe load. Those were the good old days. They might come back. Things have changed. Last 3 years the fleet left %60 of our total allowable catch... TAC...on the bottom.. % 2 of the biomass is the TAC. Couldn't sell it. We don't get days this calm too often.
