This is 44 days post-op (last night). Too bad you can't see this super zoomed in-- so much detail. Actually, you can zoom in your page. This picture was taken in high res so the detail is still there when zoomed in. The yellow thing in the center of my scar-- it feels like a stitch. Sometimes I feel like it's getting longer. If you zoom in, you'll see that the strip above it is kind of yellow too. That area was "oozing" the other day and now it's dried up. Didn't realize it was yellow-ish though.
What concerns me is how the "stitch" looks. It looks like it's coming out of a hole... as if it's like a big black head that's on it's way out (but is still attached), but yellow and it left a big hole in my scar. Does that make sense?
Does this look normal? I already sent an email with pic to my nurse.. but let me know what your thoughts are! Thanks.
I had oozing and mine was not a dissolvable stitch, just me and the way I heal...but my PCP gave me a RX for a topic antibiotic ointment to prevent infection.....and I was fine.
