'Cat TV'...love it!  Jade is still jumping up here on the desk to watch her birdie video (I remember you said Akira was unimpressed).  Only problem is, *I* have to sit and watch too, and it is not nearly as exciting for me as it is for her.  She's good about not touching the screen, but I'm not comfortable leaving her unsupervised.

I guess Akira prefers to watch real birds.  There is a family of European starlings that keeps nesting in the dryer vent of the building next to mine.  Those don't thrill Akira either.  She sure loves watching the crows dive bomb off of the roof of the same building next to mine, though.  One day, there was a little starling that perched on the railing of the my balcony.  Now, that one got the attention of both of us.  Those starlings are sure loud for such little birds.  That was early in the spring.  I think it was the daddy bird that made all that racket, as he seemed to have that pretty sparkly spring plumage they get, and he seemed to be seeking a lot of attention which is a male bird thing to do.  It's too much trouble for Akira to be bothered watching them going in and out of the dryer vent next door, but the crows are large and impressive and definitely get her attention.
