I'm so excited the way it turned out.  Can't wait to make more.  I'm gonna make 2 for the new babies my cousins are having and 1 for my niece.

Tysm Shannon!!  :)  I forgot to frill the edges, you learn from the first one lol... that's okay though. This one I'm keeping for my future baby :)

Well for your first one, I'd say you did great. Frilled edges or not.

This is beautiful Des. What type of material? I have one made of fleece my aunt made me that kind of looks similar. My next project will be hand sewing blocks for a quilt.

Thank you!  It's flannel.  It's sooo soft.  My niece wanted me to make her one and I read where you can make them out of cotton also, so I'm trying that but with flannel in the lining to make it warmer.  I got all my squares down and now I'm starting to sew them.   I LOVE block quilts.  I saw a thing on FB today that showed how to make "balloon blocks".  It was so cute!   Can't wait to see yours!! :)

It looks really nice Des!! When I was much younger (20+ yrs ago) I helped my grandma make blocks and she would put them all together and then send if off to be quilted. I so wish I had even just one block to always remember the times we shared. I will try and email you a pic of this flannel one I was talking about. You are talented Des!!
