No it does not....BUT this is why we have a CINE MRI done as the herniation can change with our BP so still pics show just one point in time...where a CINE MRI is a moving video of how the flow might get disrupted with each beat of our heart.....position can also play a role....upright MRI's are used for that reason...so bcuz this one pic doesn't look like possible Chiari, it does not mean you do not have it and a true specialist would be better able to determine if you have Chiari or some related condition.
Thanks Selma... so would any chiari expert NS be understanding of this? There is so many things I could pursue right now given my symptoms I'm not really sure how to convince doctors this should be pursued let alone take a second look at my mris... this is all so overwhelming...
