If you want to avoid painkillers or if you want to help them do their job a little better, try a few lifestyle changes to help ease symptoms. Morning stretches or light exercise can help, as can a simple yoga routine if you're up for it. If not, give yourself 10 or 15 minutes for a short relaxation session in the morning, midday and before bed. Many women have found acupuncture beneficial as well. It's no cure, but it helps.
