Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is a wonderful way to warm up on a cold night. A few simple tweaks to the typical recipe can cut down carbs dramatically. Start by pouring a bottle of your favorite dry red wine into a saucepan or Crock-Pot on low heat. Then skip the added sugars and experiment with mulling spices: cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, star anise, even orange peel.
