My friend just took a MRI, and she was told that she has Multiple Foci, or that it was seen.
Could you please tell me what is Multiple Foci, and for God's, sake please, please tell me it is nothing serious.
I just got my Mri and it states that I have multiple foci of increases T2 and the letter signal are identified bilaterally, predominately involving the frontal lobes. No abnormal enhancement. On the summing up of the report it state I have a slight interval increase in the degree of white matter change predomonitately involvling the frontal lobes bilaterally compared to my 2007 MRI. It further states: The differential includes small vessel ischemic change, demyelinating disorder, and hypertensive change. So in a nut shell could you translate this for me please and should I now seek a specialist.
None of us can tell you very much. "Multiple foci" means "multiple locations". It would be best if figuring out what that means is left to your friend and her doctors. Good luck to both of you, Quix
