ADD - Concerta vs Adderall(adderrall)

I have been taking 54mg of concerta for my ADD for about 4 years now. I dont feel like it is working the best for me though. I dont feel much like myself i feel zombie-like and kind of out of it. It keeps my mind awake but my body is telling me im exhausted. Although it helps me focus more than when i wasn't taking it i still will be focusing on 20 different things at once and can never really get anything accomplished. so my question is does anyone have any first hand experience with taking adderall (adderrall) because im trying to weigh the difference between the two.

I'm a lot older than you but I've taken adderall (adderrall) for about 5/6 years.  I am able to concentrate and focus better than before....I've never felt like a zombie (at least not from the adderall (adderrall)....but I digress).  It will cause insomnia if you take it too late in the day.

Hope this helps

Adderall will prolly work out best for you at first.  But you are highly more proned to get addicted to adderall (adderrall)...ive been on adderall (adderrall) for 4 years and I abuse it to be honest,,,Now its a fighting battle to get off the drug,,,If you are going to switch to adderall (adderrall) make sure you take exactly what your suppossed to....You slip up once and take that extra pill it can pull you in... Just remember that.Adderall (adderrall) and other kinds of add/adhd drugs are suppossed to be used as a tool. Dont make the mistake I did and abuse it...Good luck

Adderall is much more effective than Concerta IMO.  But as much easier to abuse, party on, stay up on...  it's not as harsh as any of the extended release meds using Ritalin.  I was on Dexedrine for 2 years, and I was absolutely abusing that.  I'd say that's the one to really watch out for...  I got 180 10 mg Spansules a month, and found a way to run out usually with 5 to 10 days left.

I was on adderall (adderrall) for a for about 6 or 7 years and just in my last semester of college started abusing it to stay up studying for final exams and major projects. I then graduated and got married and wanted to get off of it for good which has been rediculously hard to do.

I also started experiencing extreme neausea towards the end of my use and so it was for the best to drop it cold turkey. My stomach pains have gone away but I am still struggling with annoying withdrawl (withdrawal) symptoms every day. It's like pulling teeth to get me motivated and I am easily exhausted and overwhellmed. I hate the feeling of being lazy and unproductive, but when I can get things done it's very nice knowing I did it all on my own.

I love how productive I am on the stuff but It's such a young drug and I dont want long term effects for short term rewards. Natrual discipline is always better, so with alittle family support and faith I'll get there without the big A!
