my child's development

my 22month old son is not walking yet.but tries to pull himself up when he is on the floor by holding objects.he crawls around,can climb the stairs.when he tries to walk he falls down.he is not talking yet,can say ooh no,shakes his head when he doesn't want something,and sometimes when i call his name he doesn't understand.he cant point at objects ,makes eye contact once in a while.can this be autisim?i was told by his doctor, to make him play with other kids to access his social skills
