I have to say I have done a few massages when the pain gets bad and the money is worth every penny I come out of there feeling so good clam stress washed away and its last for a few days after it I could i would do it once a week .It kind of helps me stay centered.
I have found any of the "relaxation techniques" " progressive relaxation" which are a type of self hypnosis extremely outstandingly mindblowingly effective. It is a survival technique for those of us prone to anxiety. It is something you can use in an emergency when out and about by just repeating the progressive relaxation mentally.
It was wonderful for me to realize that I could take control of what felt like intolerable levels of anxiety without using drugs to stop it.
LOL...popular thread so far. Well, I've been using some roll on aromatherapy stuff for waking up and sleeping. I like it. I also have been having more regular massages. It helps with my back pain.
I take some valerian root and melatonin at night, along with some adrenal stuff that I was on before during the day. I'm not sure how any of this works because it's combined with prescribed meds.
Also, have started yoga. Have never been able to "get" meditation. Would love to do so.
I tried hyponosis back when for smoking and it was not effective for me personally. I did eventually quit, but probably nothing to do with that.
