The Cl has a sensory child and has a lot of experience with this.
Well were in Toronto Canada
When we get the test done they will be looking for sensory issues as well
That could be the problem. He loves being hugged, also will go upside down on his head on our couch sometimes and us always on the go picking up things to observe etc
Virtually all schools in the nation now (or will) require children to be 5 by Nov 1 to enter kindergarten. Most states require it by Sept 1. I don't know what state you are in, but I am surprised that he was started at his age.
I repeat - if you are at all thinking about a grade change - the sooner the better. The fact that he is keeping up with school work now does not have a lot to do when he is in high school and all his friends have been driving for a year, are taller, more mature, etc.
The OT is a good starting point. Are you also wondering about Sensory processing disorder?
Yes he is one if the youngest in his class as he turns 7 in November
We have an OT seeing him in November in class to see how he is behaving
When is his birthday? He is very young if he is 6 and in second grade. Ask his teacher how his age compares to other kids in the class.
Since he is now in school, a psyc can get a more accurate reading on if he has ADHD, So you might want a retest.
And if he is as young as I think, you might want to consider repeating first grade. Now would be a good time as being new, he hasn't made too many friends yet.
