Just talk to your doctor.  My psychiatrist noticed that I seemed to have
ADD characteristics and he gave me a test.  He immediately gave me a prescription for Adderall XR.   Because this is a controlled substance you can not get this med without a prescription and you really should not take it if you are not ADD or ADHD.  Please take that into consideration.  Talk with your doctor.  That is the best thing to do.

Why can't you discuss it with your doctor and get a legit prescription?  I talked to mine and took an adult ADD test and after he discovered I have it it was no problem getting a prescription.

Adderal is controled substance.  I have to go through alot to get a prescription each month. Part of depression itself is getting distracted easy.  Perhaps your meds for depression is not working well.  Dont jump onto something that is addictive as adderal.  Have your doctor check first if you actually have ADD or AdHD.

I dont think you can get Adderal XR without a RX.  You have to get a new RX each month from the Dr in order to recieve the medication.  You can only get a month supply, and if you loose any or the RX you can not get more.  If you have insurance that you can do mail order supply's with, then you can get a three month supply.  Do talk to your Dr about this.  Having ADHD is a blessing! There are alot of things that you can do that others can not.  Be proud of who you are and what you have to offer.

hi, don't know what state you live in, but in most states medication for adhd is strictly monitored by the state health department.  We have to show our i.d. each time we pick up my step-son's medication and he has to be seen by the doctor every other month in order to get his refills.  This is something you definitely need to discuss with your doctor.  It's awesome that you are taking the initiative, most people are in denial, even after being diagnosed!
