Does anyone know if ADD has anything to do with memory loss?

I have ADD and all the usual syptoms, but I also have a terrible memory.  I've been trying to find out if one has to do with the other at all??? I read something the other day online that said its possible that ADD can affect your memory but i'm not sure that it was reliable... has anyone ever heard that or know if that is true or false?

please check for thyriod problem.  Especially if you are tired.  Your mind slows down and maybe diagestive / constipation.  My daughter was treated for ADD and we found out she had thyriod.  Depression , cold  or hot. hyper, not hyper, Temp always below normal and pulse slow or high with out a lot of movement.  She was very under weight but the Concerta keep her from eating.  But she was hypothriodism.  More and More kids and adults are getting it. Lot of people with depression may have thyriod problems. Hope this helps.

I have known people who treat their ADHD with grape seed and gingko biloba (which is reputed to help with memory) so there may be a relationship.

Thanks for responding, that makes total sense and I'll try and look around for some books by some "memory experts" like you said and see what I can find that might help. I appreciate it.
