From reading up online that I've been doing, it looks like it could be another learning disability too, like a speech-language disorder.
For example:
"Receptive Language Disorders - Receptive Language Disabilities:
People with receptive language disorder may have difficulty understanding spoken language, responding appropriately, or both. This leads to substantial difficulty communicating. Thy have difficulty with language processing and the connection between words and ideas they represent. Some people may also have problems with pronunciation of words and speech / sound production."

You need to be evaluated by a psychiatrist. It is not possible for anyone on this forum to determine whether you have ADD. You need to be seen by a specialist. Good luck.
Hi,
I have the same problems with listening period. I write and speak at a high level. I also do not take in instruction that well, I again go not hear things well. I have taken as an adult Dexedrine for ADD and the difference for me is profound. I can listen to boring things without thinking ahead and hear things I would not normally take in. My head races from time to time. For example I can not even let myself in the door without already unpacking things before I even put them down.
Dexadrine slows my thinking, but does not slow the world down, if that makes sense. Anyway I function much better in certain situations with the Dexadrine. As far as any thing else you may have going, depression etc I would keep a open mind for now. I think you might have ADD or ADHD. Hope this shed light on your inquiry. See Yaa
