My 7yr old son is taking vynanse 50mg one a day. Is that to much for him? His behavior is out of control. Now He's taking steak knives and putting it under his pillow. I'm worried that he's being miss diagnose. He use to take Vynanse 30mg for 1 year. The Dr. just increase it for about 2 months now. Last week while he was at summer camp he ran away and left the building for 2 hours. They called the police and did a search. I live about half a mile from the place. The police found him hiding in the garage of my house. He had to cross 2 main intersection to get home plus several small streets. The next day he was playing with a lighter and burn a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. I don't know what to do. Should i take him off the medication?

Not certain the Facts about this Drug but a lot of the other Drugs given to children do cause aggression, perhaps you need a 2nd opinion here epecially if the Doctor who is prescribing it is upping the Dose,Are there any Issues in his life need addressing could he be acting out as he is upset about school or Home life, give some scenarios about his life ,has he siblings?
