What are your goals this year?
I plan to

2) Organize my life - simplify it and avoid the things that paralyze me
3) Eat healthier
4) Travel overseas with my wife to eastern Europe or Asia
5) Buy my brother a car for his birthday
6) Learn more ADD / ADHD life skills that I can use to help those I teach
7) Start a new business
8) Laugh more
9) Learn a new skill
10) Stick with my resolutions :)

Thanks for the tips :)
the car wont be anything great, just something to get him around

Sound like you MIL is a difficult person not willing to learn anything new... Don't let her get to you, focus on your dreams and goals. I have sisters in law that are often on my back... Success is the greatest revenge.

Lets see how long we can keep our commitments.
Good luck

Can you adopt me as your sister and buy me a car? lol J/K

I like your NYR's !

2) Use lots of sticky notes! They make such wonderful wallpaper!

7)  I'll sell you my contracting business...lots of clients already, great manager, and best employee around.
8)  Laughter mode has now been set...or at least a chuckle is in order.
Now you just need to work on the other 7 things on your list! lol

My goals are:

1) Get married...he asked me for Christmas!
2) Bite my tongue when about to say something stupid.
3) Find a new way to remember things ( other than multicolored stick-it notes that make such wonderful wallpaper)
4) Try and make my future in-laws realize that ADD/ADHD is real. ( soon to be MIL is a retired teacher...she doesn't believe in it...says that we all just needed to get the strap more than we did in school and we would all be okay)
5) Convince MIL to watch at least ONE of these videos that should make her understand.
6) Give up on trying to talk to MIL at all, OR just sit there every time she bashes me and uses that condescending tone on me.
7) Try and figure out why MIL "INSISTS" that it's okay for her precious step-granddaughter ( brother in law's step-daughter ) to have ADHD but not me and my one son.
8) See a shrink to help me get over the fact that it's a losing battle with MIL and that I need to carry on with my life and push her out of the way.
9) Apologize to ( future ) hubby now, for slamming door in his mother's face. ( I'll apologize now so that when it does happen I'll be able to bask in the afterglow )
10) Make a new ( happier ) list...because I know I'll forget this one in 5 minutes from now !  lol

Sorry...I have a VERY sarcastic sense of humor...which only compounds the troubles I have with her.

Good luck on your list!
Let us know how it goes.
