How long have you been on the medication? If you just started, this can be a start up side effect that tapers off as you are on the medication longer. At least 6 weeks and 8 is better to get a true feeling for what it would be like to take the medication.
I'd talk to your doctor about the mania if it has been more than 6 to 8 weeks as that would make it a poor choice for you. good luck dear
Antidepressant medications are different from each other. "Prozac and Paxil significantly, block the metabolism, the breakdown, the effective use of amphetamine products like Vyvanse, Adderall, and Dexedrine. If you don’t know that simple fact you can either:
remain irritable and nasty for years
give up ADHD or depression treatment altogether
add more inappropriate meds on top
find yourself “diagnosed” with bipolar illness
become even more depressed

However, dr. Parker does recommend Celexa as it does not block the pathways for the stim meds. Point being that if you were taking Prozac or Paxil it would cause the mania. celexa should not. You might want to read the comments at the bottom of this link for more info.
