Does Lexapro help with Agorphobia?

It most definitely lessens anxiety, but you still need to baby step your way to freedom. Yet Lexapro can be of great help for making that first step. Trust me - I'm on it :) and I'm slowly doing better (have been on it only for a couple of weeks but can already see the small difference. And I'm not that depressed and demoralised as I was before I started taking it).

I took Lexapro for 4 years because of anxiety and agoraphobia.
It helped to a point with the anxiety, but did nothing for the agoraphobia.
I decided to come off it (gained weight, tired).
I still have the anxiety and agoraphobia.
I take xanax (mildest dose) on occasion when I really am in a panicky state of mind.
I also exercise, and sometimes thats helps with the anxiety.
I've had agoraphobia most of my life and it's difficult to cope.
I am not housebound, but do have my limitations outside.
