I wouldn't generally buy products sold on websites only -- they charge too much, don't reveal where they source and manufacture they're products, and avoid the scrutiny that comes with being on store shelves.  Some are good, but most are multi-level marketing scams.  Enzymatic Therapy makes a good Beta Glucan supplement that has stood the test of openness and time.  As to the benefit of the substance, there is good research on this, mostly done in Japan, but little research done in actual human use because of money problems.  But it has been researched more than most supplements, since it isn't a truly natural product, in the sense it's an isolated component of what would be found in some other more complex organism, such as mushrooms or yeast.
