facial swelling

on wed i noticed a large hard lump on the right side of my dogs face. on thurs i took her to the vet. he said it looked like a bee sting and gave her a shot of steroids. the swelling went down some but now it is even more swollen. what should i do?

Please call or go back to your vet.  

Your dog may simply need more steroids to counter the inflammation.  A course of antibiotics may also be warranted.

However, alternately a piece of the stinger or other foreign body could still be in there creating an abscess, or it could be a dermal mass that is unrelated to a sting.  Since it is on the side of your dog's face, it could be related to the a tooth root abscess.

Allow your vet to further investigate.  Your vet can perform a fine needle aspirate or other biopsy, or lance the lesion if it is an abscess.
