erlichia plathys

Charlie was diagnosed with erlichia plathys one month ago, was on doxicicline for 25 days 50mg a day,  after that  he ha lilltle  so the Vet stop the medicine. During the  treatment  we mixed  his food Royal Canine poodle mix with a spoonful of science diet a/d for him ti eat. 5 days ago(same time we stop the antibiotic) we stop and tried science  diet puppy can with his kibble, after 3 days he did not want to eat and started vomiting the water and foamy stuff.  The Vet its stump and does not know what to think, he has him on nausea medication and told me keep trying just his dry food, I cheat it and mix his food again with a/d and he ate!. We are concern about what to do and what to feed him, since today he vomited a bit of yellow stuff, please Help We live in central America, have few Vets and no way of getting an endoscopy test, we already lost a loving 9 year old poodle because of a chronic gastritis that couldnot be cured!

above is an article about ehrlichia diseases in dogs. They are very difficult to treat but I would say if you cannot have your pet hospitalized, additional treatment with dixycycline and most importantly prednisone would be warranted.
I am sorry he is not feeling well and I hope everything works out.
