Problems following years of bulimia

I have suffered with bulimia for many many years.  I am sick everyday and have started noticing a very heavy pressure feeling on my chest as if someone is pressing down on my breast bone, can you suggest what could be happening please?

Dear Chrisee,

From what you are saying, it sounds like the years of bulimia have taken a toll on your body.  Cardiac problems are common among bulimics.  I would advise you to seek medical attention preferably from a medical doctor who specializes in treating bulimics.  You always want to rule out medical conditions, prior to psychological concerns.  There could be heart issues and/or anxiety concerns.
