My Crystal Ball Theory .. (Well, Peek has a Magic 8 Ball)

I go to sleep at night and wish my crystal ball would be clear ..
            free of shades of grey ..
            free of taint ..
            free of anything harmful to myself or my loved ones ..
            free as a bird, yet stable as can be..
but, it isn't;
           I am sorry to reveal.


I find the crystal ball is more like a snowdome ..
each falling snowflake reflecting the ups and downs in our lives.
We must soar with the ups and roll with the punches of the downs, for this too shall pass ..
at what price we must pay I can't say,
but we are strong and things will work out ..

I shed a tear today, for it seems we must take a step backward
to go two steps forward.

But, then again, isn't that true with most things in life?

My son suffered from very severe reflux as an infant thru toddler ... I used to journal in the middle of the night as he cried by my side.  Today -- he's a healthy, robust 10 yr old -- his pain inspired some writings back then with him in the infant carrier propped up in semi-recline to help the reflux and me with PC by my side journaling my thoughts.
