Lupus and food allergies

by Nellie72, Dec 07, 2007 01:13PM
My friend carries Lupus antibodies and her 1 yr old son has developed an allergy to peanuts (he was tested by a specialist.)  He also seems to have other allergies they have not nailed down yet, just gets hives and has sensitive skin.  Could her Lupus condition have been passed down to him in the womb and be a contributor to his allergies since food allergies and Lupus are both immune disorders?

These are totally different types of immune problems and have no direct correlation with each other.
