Atypical Autsim or OCD?

I am in desperate of need of some kind of help!  I have a 6 yr. old who was diagnosed with atypical autism at 4.  However, there has been much debate over this diagnosis between several doctors (neurologist, psychologist, etc.) even though they have all come back with PDD-NOS or atypical autism.  I started seeking help for her at 2 because she could talk, but grunted a lot, would not sleep, fixations, and had relentls tantrums.  She started school this year with a wonderful start.  However, beginning back in February, I began to see behaviors we had not seen in a while (stacking cups, drawing rainbows, repeating phrases, aggression, ignoring, severe tantrums). I informed everyone of what I was seeing at home and that I felt she was going downhill again, and before long, these things came to school.  When I discussed these things with the teacher, she informed me that OCD just really seemed to stand out.  (We have known that she was OCD, even without a diagnosis.  She cried for 3 hours last year because her water bottle was left in the classroom on field day.)  Now I am at a loss!  I do not know what to do!  I know something is wrong with my child, however, no one seems to really listen to me.  They just look at her and say she seems to be fine. (I admint that you could never look at her and see anything wrong.)  However, she is not getting what I feel she needs because no one really wants to listen, besides our wonderful psychologist.  I do not know what to think anymore!  All I know is that something is wrong and I do not know how to help her. I forgot to mention that she does have some issues with socializtion and makes very little eye contact at times.  Do you think this is something on the spectrum or OCD?  I
have had every kind of testing you could think of-even genetic.)  Do you think this is something on the spectrum or ocd?

This is exactly what we have gone through.  I always find it funny that when she is in one of her "spells", they seem open to listening.  We have a wonderful doctor and psychologist who have listened from the very beginning and agreed that something was not right.  However, we are in a small town and there is only so much they can do.  I am to the point that I will do whatever or take her wherever she needs to go.  I am absolutely tired of people blowing me off or saying her case is too complicated!
Does your son make eye contact or play with any other children in his class?  My daughter has two friends that she will make eye contact with and play with and talk to.  However, she will not initiate talk or play with the others.  (Although, I think she may eventually would.)  She also only makes eye contact with people she is familiar with.  During her speech eval. at the hospital, she made 0 eye contact with the pathologist.
Thanks for your post.

I can relate to what you are going through.  I have a 5 year old that I have been trying to get with since the age of 3.  His temper is out of control, he doesnt want to be around other people, his tantrums can last for hours and hours.  I have taken him to many dr's and they watch him play for 10 minutes and say "Oh he looks fine" you need to read 123 Magic and then another one said I needed a parenting class.  I have 3 children all together and my 2 little ones do not display the same behaviors.  We are now waiting to have him evaluated at school.  It looks like the process is finally getting started.  The teacher mentioned Aspergers.  I just want answers and how to help him!!!
