Hello, my son will be six in a few months. When he was about two and a half he was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. Since then, he has been doing speech, and occupational therapies regularly. We have had him tested through the school system, his pediatrician, our regular family doctor, and even a behavioral specialist....no one can seem to agree that this is the proper diagnosis. His biggest issue is that he has a hard time with speech and comprehension. You may ask him what color the train is, and he will respond Thomas (the train's name). He knows what you are talking about, just not what is specifically being asked. As far as his physical appearance he is extremely pale, sometimes almost gray looking. He has deep dark circles under his eyes all of the time, whether he gets a goods nights rest or not. A few months ago he had an incident where the entire day he belched what smelled like rotten eggs (it was horrible). That night he got very ill, and vomitted a lot. The vomit was unlike any I had ever seen, and the smell was almost like rancid/spoiled? yeast. It has happened twice since then, just about every 40 days or so. Our doctor has put him on diflucan.....I am just wondering if we are even on the right track?
