I'm glad they are okay too... The new concern seems to be flooding...Milwaukee's gotten about 4" of rain or more...
There are flood warnings all over and some familiar creeks/rivers out of their banks and causing major flooding to the roads around. It's no surprise to me that Waukesha (and likely Wauwatosa) are flooded by their rivers. There was a major flooding several years ago... In fact they had to tear down houses perminantly because they were too close to the flood zone. I saw a picture on the net somewhere on a street I used to go by... It was covered in water!
A nearby creek is out of its bank which makes it hard for me to believe because the ditch has to be over 12' .. and normally the creek is just barely a trickle. I'd take advantage of that and ride along the cement slab to avoid crossing a busy street without lights or stop signs...
Last time I heard yesterday, my parent's basement is fine except for minor seepage which is not new. I made my dad go down and look so I could be rest assured. I was also concerned about my stuff I haven't been able to move over. I can't move everything... I guess I have to learn I can't keep everything from my past, but I sure want to...

My dad told me that some areas I used to go to such as the place that was the local independent living agency is destroyed. Dad said “Decimated” but I don’t know what he means without pictures. I gather either the wind knocked down a lot of trees or the rain created major flooding. A news report talked about a couple buildings being crushed by the rain.
Glad to hear they're okay MJ.
I just called them again. Thankfully they are alright. The storm didn't form a serious tornado, or at least anything that would do serious damage. They missed the big hail too, but the temps dropped a good 20 some degrees from 80 something to the 60's.
I mean city was listed in the path. The national weather service had it for 5:15, but when I called them they said within the next 30 minutes or so. They are all in the basement taking cover.
