What to do about 12 yo daughter masturbating excessively

My daughter is diagnosed with low functioning ASD and I've become concerned about some of the recent issues we've encountered with her masturbation.  When she was younger it wasn't as much of a problem and I treated it like some of the other tactile stimming behaviors she exhibits such as rubbing other parts of her body with her hands.  Now it is almost her sole source of stimming and it is obvious that she does it until she experiences a very vocal  orgasm.  After that she seems comforted but invariably starts again a few hours later.  I try to guide her to limit this activity to her room but on a regular basis I discover her in the living room with her hand down in her pants or if she's wearing a skirt her underwear will be kicked off and she pulls her skirt up to rub herself.  She also recently discovered that she can use her hairbrush handle and I'm worried that she might hurt herself after seeing how vigorously she masturbates with it.  Is there anything I can do?
