Bipolar or Autistic

I have just come across this post i have copied below from your site here and its like she is describing my son, except he is 4 going on 5 this year.  More or less from him being a toddler he would hit me etc but only me and he stopped it up until he turned around 3 and his behaviour escalated and ppl started noticing and seeing what i had a long time ago.  He is my 3rd child out of 4 and i know there is something wrong and its getting worse and im so helpless.
I have been to see the gp and got two referals that were sent off as he found it should be addressed asap but still no appointment since jan this year.  Im desperate and im sitting here crying.  Its tearing my family apart and as a single mum with no father support for my kids im at breaking point.  he does not complain of itching etc but is very picky with what he wears, what he drinks out of, what shoes, what foods etc.
from what i was told from my sons (Nanna) on his dads side is that his symptoms which they only seen years ago were actually something that run in the family but no one ever got diagnosed.  I dont have any contact with them anymore as there is a dvo. seems like father like son happening.  really really worried for my son and my other children.
Im looking for someone in cairns, townsville (ill keep going south if i have too) who is good at looking at this type of thing and who can help.  Please please please help me.


(I have a 5yr old little boy. He has ALWAYS been a handle but never hurtful but this year (actually steadily getting worse since 2yrs) since starting schoolPreschooler development has gone down hill. He is easily distracted, aggressive, angry. He hits and hurts me. He over reacts and lashes out. He is incredibly smart and really good with mechanical things. But seems so hyper and aggressive one minute then snaps back to normal the next. This morning he flipped out and threw chairs, pushed the dining table and cornered me against the bench, threw clothing everywhere, didn't want to get dressed and kept telling me he was itching all over. He wouldn't calm down. The worst bit is he told me that he wanted to hurt me like he'd hurt me before. He can't handle routineRoutine sputum culturechanges at all, whether home or school.)
