Spasms

What are some of the reasons that my 8 year old could be having muscle spasms in his leg?

  Leg Spasms are due to lack of potassium in the body.

Hi,
Are there other symptoms present? Leg spasm can be attributed to a variety of conditions including electrolyte imbalance ( mentioned above) including dehydration, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, It is best that you have him see his doctor for proper evalaution. Direct clinical examination and complete neurological examiantion are important. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
