Hi, i would definately be looking into a full hormonal panel being done. Then take it from there,
Sounds like it might not be allergies if youve been taking antihistamines, and the bottle as become a paperweight.lol , i like that one.
Let me know how you get on, and im wishing you well.
If you need me for anything else just give us a shout.
Nicola
No watery eyes or runny nose right now. I did have that though when I first got sick.
I might look more into the hormonal/cortisol thing. 99% sure it's not allergies, I've been on loratadine 3x and it's not done anything helpful aside from the bottle being a paperweight.
Hi get checked for diabetes, and also hormone panel , make sure they do cortisol,
The thyroid panel looks ok but as been up and down.
Also have you been checked for allergies. maybe you should consider an IGE blood test, which will check for allergy, especially with you saying, watery eyes , runny nose,
Hope this helps,
Maybe you should consider trying to find an immunologist, maybe in your area, who could do some further testing,
I know you say about insurance, and it being an financial burden, its a shame you dont have the NHS there.
Good luck, keep in touch.
Nicola
Yeah I was negative for mono. I was sick with sore throat, runny/stuffy nose, watery eyes. May been an infection at the time that I still may have. I would think that may had passed by now if it was.
Have you been checked for mono?
You say you were sick for a week prior to all these symptoms starting? What were you ill with/ What 'sick' did you have? KAT
I just had my thyroid checked, but no auto-immune tests. This is my second TSH test, it was 3.36 at one time, now it's 1.4. I had a CMP and LFT and that all was good too. The last time I had a CBC was 2-3 months ago and the only thing that was off was Absolute Monocytes, which was 1071, ref-range 200-950.
TSH - 1.440
T4,Free(Direct) - 0.99
Triiodothyronine,Free - 2.9
No testing or scans or a lip biopsy. Is there a and all and be all anti-body test that I can do? I guess the ANA? What's the name for the hormone test?
Not sure. I also don't have the money or insurance to keep doing tests :(
I'm 23 and don't think this should be happening just yet. Maybe it's my 3 molars coming in.
It is hard to diagnois these autoimmune diseases because many of the sympthoms are similiar. With the odor you speak of sounds like you have alot of bacteria in your body. You might want to consider a probiotic which replaces the bad bacteria with good bacteria. Google "Oil Pullling" which is an Indian folk remedy for removing bacteria from the body. I use a few drops of Oregano Oil in my oil which is a natural antibiotic. You may also want to take Olive leaf extract or garllic supplements which or natural supplements to fight bacteria in the body. Also eat alot of onions and garlic. Looks at eating a diet high in raw fruits and vegetables and cut back on the process foods. This will allow the body to repair itself.
Hi,.
Have you had any bloods done,
I would strongly advice a full thyroid blood profile, and a full hormonal blood test along with a full blood count, along with a ANA,
Your symptoms sound like many auto-immune diseases, so just going off your symptoms its hard to pin-point the illness.
This could be one of many illnesses, sjorgens, hashimotos, etc.
I would definately start with a good blood work-up, and then if any off the results are wrong work from there,
Then testing for antibodies,
You say you have lost eyebrow hair, well that is a really good sign, to say you may have a thyroid problem.
Have you seen a rheumatologist? or an ENT specialist, maybe this is were you should start.
Sorry if ive asked to many questions , im just trying to get a better picture, as to whats been ruled out, and whats not.
The dry eyes may indicate sjorgens syndrome, and you can get dry mouth with this too.
Have you had any testing, or scans, or even a lip biopsy, etc?
Hoping to hear off you, you sound like you are having a really rough time, being passed from pillar to post, with no answers.
Take care
Nicola
Yeah Ive been keeping track of symptoms and prescriptions cause I hate explaining to doctors what I have, instead I just slap a paper down. Hope I have a long life, I feel fine, but at the rate I'm going I will probably start looking like E.T. or a gremlin here soon.
It's a long process sometimes to find answers. Many of these illnesses are chronic, but you may still have a long life. Managing fatigue is a challenge, dealing with pain is difficult. Keep good notes of symptoms in the order they appear, diagnosis, prescriptions, etc. these will come in handy later. Good Luck.
You need go to a Neurologist Doctor.
