There are many labs and also multiple possible interpretations who unfortunately miss the mark.
I would trust more IGeneX labs and reputable LLMDs , as one would have
a better chance to rule out or rule in Lyme Disease and company.
A complete Lymes and co-infection panel is preferable.
I have had multiple Lyme / tick panels. Should I be looking for something else to be done?
You are most welcome.
LLMDs (Lyme Literate Medical Doctors) -not a professional designation-
are also something you should be looking into.
The conventional medical system DOES NOT recognize Lymes and most of its co-infections as chronic infectious conditions.
So, I am not surprised, that the health professionals who are paid very handsomely to deliver to us medical care, paradoxically also exercise
"deliberate ignorance" in order to comply with the direction of governing medical boards and organisations like IDSA and CDC.
Chronic Lyme Disease, Pathogenic Mycoplasma, Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia...cannot be treated EXCLUSIVELY as acute infectious conditions with ABX for a month or so and then POOF,they are magically cured and if not cured they must be ...something else???????
Medical Doctors, who actually believe the above, should not be allowed to practice medicine and the ones who don't, well they should be punished for breaking the Hippocratic Oath. But I guess this is more a matter of conscience than law, unless the doctor is proven guilty of malpractice or neglect.
OK, I was venting, but now, it's out of my system (temporarily), lol!
BTW, these are only my personal views, from my own research and the
REAL people I have come across who have suffered/are suffering from the aforementioned infectious conditions.
Best wishes,
Niko
Thank you so much for this reference. I've been scanning medical journals and infectious disease articles for 4 months now trying to understand why I "all of the sudden" have a autoimmune "deficiency" or "disorder".
I believe I have Lyme disease and they insist that I don't and never have???
Have you ever been bitten by a strange bug (tick for example). I had the same exact symptoms as you have with Lyme Disease. There are over 300 thousand new cases yearly in the United States and many people go for years without even knowing they have it.
Just think back to when these symptoms started and if they were sudden ( within a few weeks).
Just a shot in the dark btw. Lol
I don't have words to thank you for giving me some direction. You've given me more direction and at least someplace to start than I've received from 15 doctors!
Underlying low grade infectious condition, normally dormant (cannot detect with blood tests when inactive) which is triggered mostly by physical and mental stress.
Your adrenals cannot handle it.
The cells in your body (celllular system) heals using electric energy, which in your case is low.
Pushing "hard" depletes your energy further, increasing your stress levels and making recovery from this more difficult.
Meanwhile opportunistic pathogens take advantage of your low energy state,to re-infect.
Pleurisy, which I'm very familiar with -I have had it myself at 3 different times over the years- is caused in most cases by underlying infectious conditions, which are responsible for the inflammation and irritation of the pleura.
According to Dr. Garth Nicolson, the world's top expert in Mycoplasma infections and co-infections, in the majority of FMS and CFS cases, there's an underlying pathogenic Mycoplasma infection and/or a co-infection.
You may do a search here, under his name, as he's also a part-time contributing expert in MedHelp.
Hope this helps,
Niko
I guess no one else has had strange fevers? Repeated pleurisy? All related to when they push too hard or do too much or their body is weakened in some way?
I don't often actually catch any communicable diseases. When I get the fevers, there is nothing else going on like a cold etc.
Some people's immune systems are in poor shape (health conditions, poor diet, worn out through stress, whatever). In such cases, when they add stress such as a long drive, they're much more susceptible to catching a cold or the flu which of course comes with fevers, often mild. Does that sound like you? You might also get feverish if you were simply physically exhausted.
Taking rest breaks (very important to avoid getting exhausted or very tired), being extremely careful with hygiene (washing hands after touching public surfaces [a soap with 2-4% chlorhexidine is excellent for this purpose), not touching any mucuous membranes when out in public such as mouth, nose, eyes except with the inside fold of a tissue or handkerchief) ought to greatly reduce the likelihood of catching communicable diseases.
