Pernicious Anemia without an absorbtion problem?

Pernicious Anemia without an absorbtion problem?

I went to my primary care dr for numbness/tingling in legs/face/feet/hands,memory loss, concentration problems, fatigue, and muscle weakness and she thought it might be a B12 deficiency so she sent me to get blood tests. I ended up buying b12 sublingual suppliments and started taking them and the day of my test it showed up i had abnormally high B12 which the doc said was from the suppliments...but the blood work also showed i had enlarged red blood cells and a low RBC count which she mentioned could be pernicious anema but sent me for more blood work and the bloodwork said i had a slightly high ANA and a High Rhematoid factor, so im now being refered to a neuro and a rhem. But my questions are:
1. could taking a b12 suppliment a day or two before a blood test work that soon if i was deficient?
2. is pernicious anemia an autoimmune problem (ex. would it show up in a blood test with a high RF?)
3. could i have per. anemia if i am obviously absorbing the B12 because my levels were abnormally high after taking the suppliment?
Thanks in advance

1. I don't think so but I'm not nearly as experienced as your doctor! I've had low B12 levels for years and been on supplements and I've certainly never had a high B12 level drawn! That seems odd if you were deficient, but like I said I'm not a doctor though. I would ask them to explain this a little more.

2. I do not believe that it is classified as an autoimmune problem but rather that it can and often does go along with other autoimmune problems. The only thing I'm aware of that RF (rheumatoid factor) indicates is Rheumatoid Arthritis. However please bear in mind I haven't researched this specifically.

3. I was told by my doctor that I do not necessarily have pernicious anemia even though I've had low B12 levels and symptomatic. He even had me on the injectable dose. It seems like if your B12 levels were high after taking supplements only a couple of days you probably don't have it. But I think your RBC's do have something to do with diagnosing it.
