Rash & Joint Pain

About 3 months ago I went to an Endocrinologist who also dispenses Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy.  He started me on the Bios and also changed my Thyroid medication to Armour.  After about 2 months I started having severe joint pain in all my joints, but specifically in the hips, knees and ankles.  The bottoms of my feet are also very sore.  I am having a lot of trouble just getting around.  At about the same time, I started experiencing blisters on my arms.  They start as tiny blisters with a clear liquid.  When they break, I am left with a sort of crater which then scabs over.  I have them on both arms.  I have developed a few in other places, too, but this morning I woke up with the left side of my face down near my chin covered in these blisters.  I went to my Endocrinologist and he told me to stop taking the Armour. It has been 1 month now and my symptoms have not subsided.  If anything, they are getting worse.  Any ideas as to what this might be?  I have been tested for Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis and both came back normal.

I just heard from the Dermatologist.  They did a biopsy last week and find that I am having an allergic reaction to something.  I believe it was the Armour Thyroid, but I have not taken that for 5 months.  My condition has been in existence for 6 months.  You'd think that it would be out of my system by now.  The joint pain is getting worse.  Help!!!

I have been tested for Lyme Disease as well as Lupus.  I will check out the site you recommended to see if it helps.  Thanks so much for responding.  It has been about 5 months since this all started, but it feels like a lifetime.

Thanks........Cheryl

Have you been checked for Lyme Disease? This happens with Lyme as well. Have you noticed any bulls eye rashes on you lately? Any fever's? You could be having what is called an autoimmune reaction to the Armour. If this is the case, sometimes the symptoms will take longer than a month to go away, sometimes they will not ever go away, just depends. Check out this other forum post that I actually saw a while back that sounds like your problem. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/330475. Hope this helps!
