My mother has Celiac disease and has swollen gland a lot and also seems to be tired all the time. She was recently referred to a Rheumatologist, and she was told that she has very high ANA levels. She was told it is not Lupus, and she does have an appointment in a few weeks. She does not seem to be too concerned, but I am. What could the high ANA levels mean? I know that with Celiac disease, she has a higher chance of getting lymphoma, is the high ANA a part of that? I am just curious as to what is causing the High ANA levels. She was on thyroid meds earlier, but then her next blood test showed that she no longer needed them? Can you just "get over" a thyroid problem? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you
