AST and ALT

What would be the reason for a jump in AST & ALT for a 37 year old woman, but still in the normal AST & ALT range?

Definitely keep your eye on it.  Mine was elevated just 20 pts, and we ignored it.  5 years later it was elevated by 1400 pts and it had progressed to full blown Autoimmune hepatitis.  Unfortunatley, my liver biopsy showed there was damage to the liver.  Ask for labs every month, until your numbers are in the complete low normal range.  Don't let it go.  I am a 36 year very healthy (I thought) adult.  Have never had a problem w/anything.  Make your Dr stay on top of it.

This happened to me at the same age after more tests and a liver biobsy I was diagnosed with AIH. Are you also feeling tires  nauseas and vomiting? I would keep and eye on your ast &alt.
