Repeat SPECT scan or PET

Dr. Nicholson, could you please look at my response to your response to my question on repeating SPECT, and comment. If a repeat one could be compared to report I gave from Oct. 2006 and assuming the brain has healed some, then yes I would like one to show improvement and revise any treatment if appropriate.

PET scans are offered locally, but presently I do not know any local Dr. who deals with them. Obviously there are some since they get ordered. I do not know how lyme literate the dr.s would be as my dr. is the best lyme dr. in town (Dr. S. Denton), but she says she would not be able to advise from a SPECT or PET scan.

Perhaps you know of an appropriate dr. in Seattle, Philadelphia, or Iowa area? Those places I often get to. Yes, Columbia Univ. in NY would be close to Philly, but they told me they are for eval and research, not treatment providers. As before though, Dr. Fallon would probably address any suggestions in his report. Thanks.

This is really outside of my area of expertise.  You should be consulting an expert on imaging.
