discouraged

I have had severe joint pains and chronic tired since the 90's. Have had several ticks removed on me but blood test for Lyme always come back neg. I am 58 yrs and feel like I have gotten old way before my time and I can not get a doctor to listen to me. I was told about 5 yrs ago that  I have fibromyalgia and am on several meds but most  I can't take because of my job, which is very physical. About 2 months ago my hair started falling out , I have about half of it left, and Dr. took test. ANA came back positive. told me to go to specalist. He took tests and  my SSA AB is 64.2 which is flagged but I do not understand the results. Also HGB and MPV are high. Could I have Lupus? Blood results were posted on line but Doctor does not explain and hair falling out does not seem like a big deal to him< what should I do?

I would suggest that you consider a complete detox, liver and gallbladder,
kidneys and colon. Any heavy metals and toxins  are co-factors in chronic illnesses. Why take any chance with arsenic and other toxins present in your body. (It could be diet related but if you did not have a detox recently
get it done regardless-the potential implications are numerous))
Vitamin D optimum levels for people with MS are about 100 ng/ml.
There's some suggested contraindication with some AI conditions that have a genetic predisposition regarding Vitamin D and sun exposure.
My suspicion is underlying yeast metabolites and mycotoxins  that lead to that..
Best, seek a good Naturopathic Doctor for a consultation for your situation.
An experienced Health Coach- like an ND -, if you can afford one, would be a great investment in your Health management.
Wishing you well.
Namaste.

Hey wildfry, Welcome to the forum.
Nutrinut_bob's advice is good.
You should start fresh.
Most likely you had false negative results come back when tested for Lyme, the most undiagnosed/misdiagnosed/underdiagnosed condition along with Pathogenic Mycoplasma infections.
The tests are notoriously complex, the sample has to be shipped promptly
in the beginning of the week express, as the integrity of the testing -for biological reasons- diminishes rapidly! Most labs do a LOWSY job, poor quality with many cost cutting measures with  only a 45% accuracy (recent g'ment study) and on top ,most Doctors and specialists do not have a clue about Lyme!   It could be very discouraging.
So only deal with experts! Follow the recommendations from Nutrinut_bob.
You should also get tested for deficiencies including mineral analysis.
Wish you well.
Niko

Your test SSA AB 64.2, is a subset of the ANA, indicating possibility of Auto-Immune disease perhaps  Slogren's Syndrome (SSB=60-70)   Nothing conclusive at all at this point.
Do you have the exact findings from your other blood tests
-Hgb and MPV?

There will be others come along wildfry, with more knowledge of testing, but the consensus is that IGENEX labs provide the best.  It might behoove you to seek out an LLMD in your area.  You can do that by registering on the lymenet, (google that), going to the flash discussion, and posting on the seeking a doctor area.  After that, several helpful folks will contact you with information.  The standard tests look for antibodies to lyme, and after you've been infected for awhile, you quit making antibodies.  I think the answer for you is to get out of mainstream medicine before they decide to cut something out of you!
