I know that I came across this very late. However, I am interested in learning as to whether or not you took lovenox afterall. Had this been earlier on, I would have said yes take it and to switch your Folic Acid to a Methyl-Folate as our bodies cannot process mere folic acid. I am on Cerefolin now as it is one of the best for MTHFR. I have dual strands as well. I had two 3rd Trimester losses due to placental abruption as a result of my having this undiagnosed condition. I was finally diagnosed after I had a 2nd Trimester miscarriage and became pregnant again and was sent to a specialist. She provided me with enlightenment about why these things were occurring. My 3 children who were successful pregnancies have all been diagnosed as Autistic and I am trying to find a link between MTHFR and Autism. If you look hard enough on the web, you will find that both MTHFR and Autism require certain vitamins and diets that are identical. This makes me wonder. Please anyone who joins and has similar experiences in regards to this topic...post, post, post.
Kricket,
How much folic acid do you take for your MTHFR?
Hi Kricket212,
I am 50 & was recently diagnosed with the PAI-1 4G/5/G mutations. My hematologist offered me vey minimal info at best so I have been attempting to educate myself on the subject.
What I have recognized is the fact that this mutation seems likely to be a source of a lifetime of unexplainable events. My children are now young adults, however my ob-gyn history was extremely remarkable for complicated events for which many facts had been hidden in my medical records. I would be happy to share what I know or have experienced.
Had I originally been made aware of this disorder long ago, potentially I may have experienced better outcomes with my pregnancies and other complications that are likely effected by these mutations. I also test + for a single copy of the MTHFR A 1298C.
Would love to understand more. I hope your treatment proves successful and pregnancy goes well!
