Extreme fatigue, rashes, swelling - need urgent help please

Hello, I am in desperate need of help.

I have some sort of odd manifestations of fatigue. A little while ago, I realised that it was possibly connected to the food I was eating, as I noted rashes on my hand (not itchy, no hives, my skin would redden). I absolutely do not care about the rashes, but about the fact that I am SEVERELY fatigued, to the point that I am unable to do anything. My brain also feels fogged up, and I loose concentration. I also may get problems with falling or staying asleep. I found certain foods like eggs and chicken gave me rashes for sure, as well as the symptoms of fatigue. I had a scratch test for allergies that was negative to the foods that I had suspected. However on the advice of my family doctor, I took an igG test, that identified a lot of foods which include dairy, and rice. I had been on a limited "elimination diet" that consisted of beef, rice, vegetables and olive oil. Once I got the result of the test, I cut out the rice, and felt much much better. However I was fine for about a week, and then I started getting these same reactions again. I recently figured out that apples, and broccoli were also giving me trouble (rash and of course the fatigue and severe weakness). My diet is becoming extremely limited now, I simply do not know what to eat, and my family doctor told me plainly that "he doesnt know what's wrong and cannot do anything to help me".

All my blood tests were fine, except one where he collected my urine for 24 hours. After that he suspected diabetes incepitus, and I am still waiting on some test results for adh as well as an endocrinologist appointment to confirm, but I really do not see that it has anything to do with my main problem.

I am truly up the wall with this one. It seems that it isnt allergies, yet I get some odd symptoms after particular foods, such as water retention/swelling, bloating, these rashes, as well as joint pain. Much worse are the very severe tiredness, sleep problems and loss of concentration.

I really need some advice, I am not even sure which specialist I should be seeing, and this is severely affecting my life, both socially and professionally.

THANKS so much in advance.

Hey staspmr.
To make any accurate determinations you will need to work with specifics.
- The Pulse test will give you a specific pattern regarding anything ingested,
establishing the reactivity -hidden or delayed- to anything offensive.
Just download for free Dr. Coca's Pulse Test
- What is the constant feeling of low Magnesium in the body?
Magnesium is involved in over 300 metabolic, electrolytic, digestive, neuronal, hormonal etc. functions. A Mg deficiency over time can and will affect various systems and organs, without the patients realizing.
This is just one mineral!  I'm using it as an example.
So testing for nutrient, vitamin and mineral deficiencies is a must.
Specifically you need to rule out Iron, B12 and B complex, DHA and EPA
deficiencies, as they are associated with fatigue and brain lithargy/fog
Note: You may have a great diet, however, you are what you absorb and assimilate!
- Do a saliva test for Candida. It takes minutes to do. Just do a Youtube search for a video clip on this.
A candida overgrowth will cause havoc in your body!
-Do a test for tartaric acid -a muscle toxin causing fatigue. Urine test that is

Once you clear all this, then you can explore the rest.
Wish you well.
Take care,
Niko

Yeah, I know what you mean.
I've been down that road myself many years ago.
It wasn't till things were getting worse, while under conventional medical care, that made me realize I was "outside" their scope of normal practice,
that somehow my situation did not conform with established protocols
and diagnostic approaches, that I realized that my hopes of getting some tests and scans would lead to a diagnosis and fast treatment were just wishful thinking.
I took matters in my own hands and decided to go the Holistic route.
It involved getting an entire education on Holistic and Alternative Medicine,
taking a bottom up approach, cell by cell, system by system to rebalance my immune system and my body.
No easy solution, to say the least, but I'm more than grateful today for all this and it made me not only a healthier person but a better person as well.
I'm going to send you another reply later with a simplified methodology.
Yes, I do agree, what I sent you is not only comprehensive, it is overwhelming for most people. Nevertheless it is a good resource for reference and long term application.
gtg now.
Take care
Niko

Nikodicreta, thanks very much for the comprehensive list. I was trying to do some research on this, but eventually I decided that this is not something I could "google" myself out of. I actually have looked into some of the items on that list previously, however the fact is that I do get evident reactions to certain foods. I wasn't quite clear about this in my OP, but their onset is quite quick (within an hour) and can last anywhere from 3 to 24 hours. There seem to be some problem foods, but either these reactions are inconsistent, or I am developing new ones. I therefore am not sure about things like mineral deficencies, adrenal fatigue, etc, because I would expect to have a consistent feeling of disease, where as I can feel bad in the morning but sometimes get better in the evening, or feel fine in the morning, then for ex. I ate an apple and got some sort of flushing and fatigue again... I am more slanted towards professional advice, despite not liking doctors, but have considered naturopaths. Problem is there is no testing or standardization for them, so it can be a mixed bag of people that are no good, people that can hurt you, and then there are the very few that care enough to actually save you.

Caryopteris, thanks to you as well. That was one of the first things that I have asked my doc to check, and I tested negative. However I am still avoiding wheat products, which is only helpful to a degree.

I was hoping that someone who had somehting very similar situation to mine would read this and say something like - oh I had that, all you need to do is X and you will be better in days.... sigh.

Get checked for celiac disease.  It is an allergy to wheat.  It is hard to figure out since wheat is in so many things.  Hope you track down the cause.

Hey staspmr,
Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, it is the way that conventional medicine functions that is not very conducive to your health situation. The  approach to  multi-systemic
conditions is where were the inefficiencies are most evident.
The possible medical specialists relative to your medical profile are numerous:
Allergist, Gastroenterologist, Endocrinologist, Rheumatologist, Neurologist,
Internist, Infectious disease specialist, Lyme Literate Medical Doctor etc.

My opinion is to seek a Naturopathic Doctor as an overall health coach.
The lack of conclusive findings and no specific Diagnosis make it a rather
challenging endeavor for medical doctors and sufferers alike.
In cases like this instead of looking for specific diseases and conditions, which may not exist under a particular medical label -even worse a "created modern day autoimmune or degenerative syndrome label, usually accompanied by a no medical cure determination, it may be wiser to look for the underlying cause(s). Treating the person  as a whole (holistic) instead of the symptoms, would be a wiser approach.

Suspect are the following( that you may want to research and investigate further) :
-Candida Albicans, Candidiasis and MycoToxins
-Gut Dysbiosis and Leaky Gut Syndrome (Look into GAPS and SCD)
- Lyme Disease ( LLMD, IgeneX )
- Pathogenic Mycoplasmas, Borrelia, Brucella ( go to immed.org) and
Dr.G Nicolson
-Allergies, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (look into Dr Coca's Pulse test,
"Allergy Antidotes and NAET)
- Nutritional and mineral deficiencies ( Look into Magnesium Oil, B12,
Omega 3, Glutathione, Vitamin D, etc)
-Heavy Metals ( look into Detoxification and Liver, Kidney and Colon Cleansing)
- Acidifying Diet (look into Alkaline diet)
- Incorrect Breathing (look into Normal breathing and Pranayama breathing websites)
- Lymphatic System Dysfunction ( Look into http://www.healsa.co.za/
and study the Essential Health Protocols
-Adrenal fatigue (go to Dr. Lam Adrenal fatigue center:  http://www.drlam.com/articles/adrenal_fatigue.asp

Should you be able to research all of the above thoroughly,
apply what is pertinent to you to the smallest detail with the guidance of an experienced Naturopathic Doctor, you will be able in time to get your health and life back. It sounds like a lot but you must take some positive action now, before this becomes a health crisis.

There are many complementary and alternative therapies such as Energy Psychology, Reiki, Hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques.
Any of these could be incorporated into your overall treatment program.
If you need specific info on any of the above, please let me know.
My advice does not constitute professional consultation.
Take care,
Blessings,
Nikodicreta
