hair loss

I have been having an autoimmune hair loss issue for several years. The hair on my head, arms, legs and chest will fall out, then grow back several months or even years later. It falls out in diffuse patches. The doctors all tell me its male pattern baldness but I know this is not the case because it grows back. I have hepatitis C and I know this is part of the problem but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I have hair loss problems because of other health issues, but I have been told that MSM (sulphur) is excellent for hair loss. I havent tried it yet, but will be doing so myself just to see.

Haven't been diagnosed with MS, tests came back negative, but I feel all the symptoms, weakness, tingling and numbness in my extremities.  I have also noticed that I have had hair loss as well. How many milligrams of folic acid do you take, and can you take it every day, because you wrote 1 a day, or even 1 every other day. Do you know if there are bad side effects if you take folic acid every day?

Hi there = )

I had a similar situation occur a few months ago. i had bery noticable hairloss that i was told went hand in  hand with MS (which I have).  i tried everything I could think of or buy until I was told to try increasing my folic acid intake by a family member. it really helped me out (1 a day, maybe even 1 every other day). that in combunation with a really good multi... worth a try...?

hope u have some luck. it takes some time, but it ought to make a difference.
