Looking for answers, dr stumped....

Hello,

I usually post on the thyroid forum as I have Hashi's but I have been having some unusual symptoms for quite awhile and thought I might get some answers here.

Initially my first symptoms were the feeling that something was stuck in my throat (this started a couple of years ago and comes and goes).  Then it went to feeling like I had air hunger which I know is a symptom of HypO, but that has turned into feeling like I have bronchitis in my lungs and it gets more and more frequent.  I also feel like there is something just below my collar bone on the right side(not palpable). I've had CT, chest Xray and Endoscopy that show nothing.  But here's the thing, these symptoms seem to be changing and I am now feeling like I have the flu in that area beneath my collar bone and it feels like it spreads throughout my body.  This happens often and has even woken me up at night.  I've had night sweats and during the day sometimes feel feverish.  It also seems like I am feeling weaker and weaker the more often this happens.  This has been happening for months.  My thyroid hormones show they are in range with being on Armour.

I also have pain on both sides of my neck, like my lymph nodes are filtering something through even though they are not swollen.

I'm gluten and dairy sensitive but do not stick to a strict diet.

I'm scheduled to see a throat specialist next week but am not even sure that's who I should be seeing.
Anybody have any ideas?

Oh, I forgot to mention that if you have any type of an underlying infection, your temperature test will have to wait, as your body temperature rises,
(fever) to fight off the infection.

Hi Pattyisha.

It's probably linked to Hashimoto's. There are over 300 possible symptoms!

Here are my observations.
1.Thyroid Hormones do not address in any way the autoimmune part of Hashimoto's. Hashimoto's may lead to other A/I diseases.
See #3 for more info*.
2  Lab results are not enough to go by for proper thyroid treatment.
The tests they use are based on many hypothetical and theoretical models, that make them very unreliable!  If you want to really know if your thyroid treatment is working well for you, consider Dr. Barnes Basal Temperature test.
Follow the instructions to the T and you will have the best testing method for thyroid in your own hands. If you get treated according to this test and your symptoms, you will be multiple times better off.
3. You are gluten and dairy sensitive. Guess what? If you are 80% gluten and dairy free, it simply does not work! It's like being 80% virgin!
Gluten has been linked  to 55 diseases so far, most of them autoimmune
and one of the more prevalent ones is Hashimoto's*.
And 50% of gluten sensitive are dairy sensitive, as the immune system
mistakes the dairy for gluten (cross reactive food). And there are more possible cross-reactive foods.

My suggestion is to consider the aforementioned information.
Your health, will likely  be much better managed, once you get passed the
limiting idea of gluten and dairy-free living. It is very doable!
Both my wife and daughter are gluten free, my daughter is also dairy free
and both doing rather well, with just some insignificant little symptoms
and no need for thyroid hormones. And we all eat very well!
It is not easy to reach this level, but definitely, worth it, even if you must continue with Armour for life.

Listen, Pattyisha, any questions at all, please pm me any time.
This is a complex medical field, most doctors don't have the answers,
specially when the medical protocols are so much behind times, but it is no nuclear science either.

Please note that this is not intended as a substitute for medical advice.

Love & Light
