Hey jen,
Go to health food store and purchase some valerian root.
It will help you sleep better and ease off your tension and stress.
Your left sided pain coincides with the left side disc protrusion.
The compressed nerve causes the pain usually at the corresponding extremities. Muscular imbalances mainly are the causes of disc herniation,so correcting those will help fixing the root cause. See a knowledgeable TMT or Physiotherapist to help you with this.
I use MSM daily and for acute pain I use DMSO sold in Veterinary supply
stores- Lab grade 30% solution for below the neck line and only 10% above neck line! Very Important detail! Skin must be absolutely clean as DMSO will drive anything through and into the cells!- I had a bout of pleuritis in November out of the blue, one of the rare occasions when anything happens to me, and a couple applications of DMSO along with self-hypnosis took care of it completely.
ALA (Alpha Linolenic Acid) is recommended for its neuroprotective action
plus it help with anxiety and depression issues.
Malic acid is a great supplement for muscular pains as it counters the damaging effects of tartaric acid-very common in chronic pain conditions
associated with cfs, fms and other.
Finally quality omega-3 supplements from small cold water fish,
help with inflammatory type of pains.
Please research on your own the above to verify.
Also try to stay active as much as your situation permits you.
It is very important. And drink lots of water to stay hydrated!
Final suggestion is to check out the normal breathing website.
Breathing affects our health a lot more than what we think!!!
ALL people with serious and or chronic conditions do NOT breathe properly. Seriously!
Cheers,
Niko

Hey jenjen30,
Welcome to the forum.
Mycoplasma infections can cause chest infections and some of the
infected will experience neurological issues along with possible muscle and joint pains. Neurological issues affecting the left side of the body are
usually caused by abnormalities in the right side of the brain.
For more info on Mycoplasmas please check immed.org.
Dr Garth Nicolson there, is the leading expert in Mycoplasmas both in research and treatment.
You can do a search here using medhelp's search engine, as Dr. Nicolson has been a medhelp contributor with his expertise in this field.
Any specialists will not be able to test and dx pathogenic mycoplasma infections, however, an LLMD (Lyme Disease Medical Doctor) is able to.
Post again if you need more details.
Blessings.
Niko

Times in 3 months. Most of the muscle spasms is on my left side of my body. Even my left bottom eye lid has spasms. Can anyone tell me what to ask my doctor to look for. I really need some relief like soon.
