My son has POTS and had a colonoscopy in October. Since he had this done in Cleveland, they did give him an IV. The anestiesiologist was very versed with POTS. He sped up the IV to make sure my son was very hydrated. I would request an IV if they don't give you one. This seemed very important to the anestiesilogist.
Everything went well for us. I hope all goes well with yours as well.
I just had a colonoscopy, I recommend scheduling yours first thing in the morning to avoid too many hours without drinking anything. Everything went well and no complications. I hope all goes well.
I am having really bad Pots symptoms right now, and they want me to do a colonoscopy!! How do i keep myself hydrated/ full of salt/ good sugar level/ good potassium level etc.. for the duration of the 44 hour prep (liquid diet until test is over)
