Thank you so much MedHelp. We appreciate the response!!!!
Yes! Thank you Medhelp! :)
Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot *im new here* ok so here are my symptoms .. Tingling numbness nausea diarreah constipation sensitive to light bradycardia and tachycardia high blood pressure when standing loss of appetite decreased sweating cold sensation in my feet .. My heart rate ranges from 42bpm-140! This all happened 4 days after giving birth via csection in which I received an epidural anesthesia. I was given lidocaine for the epi and my body still wasn't numb so they kept injecting more! *also I've been having tingling in my lips a metalic taste in my mouth and severe dizziness. I was seen in 2different ers and they both said its not cardiac related even though my h.r was 45bpm .. Is it possible that the epidural is causing autonomic dysfunction? If so is there treatment for this? I've been feeling so sick and just want to get better. One neuro said if its autonomic it could resolve on its own. Is that true? I don't think its thyroid related cause I've been losing weight and not gaining. Are there any special doctors I should visit? Thanks in advance x0x0
Welcome to the dysautonomia forum! I really encourage you to copy and paste what you posted here and click on the green post a question button above and start your own thread for the best opportunity at the most responses! I have heard it is possible for postural orthostatic tachycardia to go into remission. It hasn't with me though and I was diagnosed back in 2004. Lack of sweating is a symptom some I've seen post on this forum have. Treatment of dysautonomia is basically trying to put out fires of whatever symptoms are affecting you at the time, like your digestive tract issues, etc..
Ok thanks a lot for your help but do you know if autonomic dysfunction would cause bradycardia? And if so is there treatment for that other than a pacemaker? Thanks again!
