migraines and autonomic instability

I have migraine headaches with an awful sensation of pressure in my head, throbbing and ringing in my ears.  I also have nearly fainted several times and my bloodpressure has been unusually high when this happens and my heart is pounding. An ER doctor suggested autonomic instability. Anyone out there have anything similar?

Is the high blood pressure/near-fainting happening during your migraines, or at separate times?

Do you have any example blood pressure readings?  I ask because if the pulse pressure is "wide" (i.e., the difference between the top number and the bottom number is greater than normal), this could account for the sensation that your heart is pounding.  A high blood pressure itself could also provide the sensation of a pounding heart.

What symptoms exactly do you get when you nearly faint?  Have you been referred to a cardiologist for further testing like a tilt table test or holter monitor?  Have you been referred to a neurologist for the migraines?

Yes, I have daily chronic headache with migraine, have had it since 2004. I am currently being investigated for auto dys and have not had a concrete diagnosis yet. I also have cycles of high bloodpressure and a fast, irregular heartbeat. I do have elevated catecholamines, you?
